Two Digit Subtraction
Last week, we began learning to subtract a two digit number minus a one digit number. This week we will move into subtracting 2 two digit numbers. Here is a chart we made today showing how we model subtracting a two digit minus a one digit number with base ten blocks and the stacking method.
Please notice that you only represent the first number in the subtraction problem with this method.
Sign Language
We had a special visitor today! Mrs. Enloe is the 3K teacher at our school and she knows sign language! When she heard that we would be learning about Helen Keller in our biography unit, she was eager to come teach us about sign language so that we would have a better understanding of how Helen Keller communicated.

Sharing our Projects
We had a great chance to practice our speaking and listening skills today while everyone shared their habitat projects! Today was so great because we learned so much from one another! Miss Parris learned all sorts of things too! My proudest moments in the classroom are when my students are teaching me ; )!
